Me: “Do you enjoy going to school?” Child: “Yes!” Me: “Do you have a lot of friends there?” Child: “Yes, I have 10!” Me: “Oh wow! That’s a lot.  What are their names?” Child: “There’s Jeric, Emman, Roman, Ironman, Spiderman, Batman ...” I could only grin and say, “Aside from being shy, he also has great imagination!”

Petite Pedia Plots #154 I haven’t seen this patient for several months and his Mom and I just correspond through SMS. Finally, they get a chance to visit the clinic.  Mom tells me the little boy and his sister were  very excited  to see me. Mom told me that just before going to the clinic, the boy asked her to please buy me “starbucks”. However, Mom wasn’t sure if I drink coffee at all so she decided to buy me food instead.  When he entered the room, I got an enthusiastic hug.  And after the visit, he shyly gave this to me. You make my heart full, Prince Elsa.  Tita Doc loves you too.

My Prince Elsa Series 16 Since I miss the kids, I asked Mom to send me a recent picture. Mom shared with me the sister’s moving up picture with Kuya Elsa. Both children looked bigger and healthier.  Sister was wearing a white toga while Elsa was wearing blue shirt and jeans, looking like a regular 7 year old boy - exccept for that small PINK personal fan that he was holding with his pinky finger flicked up (nakapilantik). 

My Prince Elsa Series 15 Because their family now lives far away, his Mom just texts me at random times to keep in touch. Elsa’s Mom: “Dra,, big na yung 2 magkapatid.  Ang kukulit na nila. Kaka-graduate lang ng bunso papunta na siyang big school.” Me: “That’s great.  Yung tendencies ni Elsa, wala na?” Elsa’s Mom: “Parang wala na, Dra.  Hindi na naglalaro ng Barbie. Ang hilig kumanta at sumayaw. Artistic ata ‘tong bata na to.” Me: “Talaga? Ano favorite kantahin at sayawin?” Elsa’s Mom: “Let’s Kill This Love ng Blackpink, Dra.”

Petite Pedia Plots #153: While doing a check-up, this 2 month old baby would suddenly keep quiet and watch whoever was speaking.  This happened everytime someone spoke.  So I told the Mom with a smile, “Wow, Mom! Chismosa yung anak mo ha!” Dad replied, “Doc, mana mana lang yan.  Ganyan kasi si Mommy.” #maymatutulogoutsidethekulambo

Daughter Duties #57 Several weeks ago, there was a news report about a certain celebrity found guilty for graff.  Mom was trying too recall who it was when I got home. Mom: “Anak, sino nga yung artista na nakasuhan recently? Tisoy siya.  Parang may “Rich” yung name.” Me: “Alden Richards?” Mom: “Hindi.  Mabait yan eh.  Mas matanda.” Me: “Richard Gutierrez?” Mom: “Hindi! Mas matanda pa.  Nag wo work sa government ng matagal.” Me: “Ah! Richard Gordon!” Mom: “Hindi!!! Ano ba? Mali na naman. May asawang artista.” Me: “Richard Gomez!!!” Mom (exasperated): “Hay naku! Petite Pedia Plots #152 This four year old girl visits me in the clinic.  Just like her previous visits, she comes in wearing  really nice princess dress - this time, it’s Belle of Beauty and the Beast.  Me: “Is Belle your favorite Disney Princess?” Girl: “No, my favorite is Sleeping Beauty” Me: “Why?  Because you like her dress or the color blue?” Girl: “No.  It’s because I like sleeping!”
