 It's my first time to see the parents prior to the birth of their baby. Upon seeing me, Dad says, "Dra, when the baby comes out, I hope she'll be as healthy as you."

I then asked the Dad, "Daddy, gusto mo pa ba nang babae?" thinking that maybe he'd like to have a daughter who would behave better. The mom, thinking of something else, suddenly blurted out, "Hay naku, dra. Oo, gustong gusto niya. Nahuli ko pa nga yan ng kulasisi nyan na nag-da-date eh, blah-blah-blah." Ibang babae pala naisip ni mommy. Uh-oh.

Petite Pedia Plots #159 As part of asthma prevention,  we often ask about known triggers of the attacks. I asked the parents of an asthma suspect patient, “May curtains and carpet po ba sa bahay?” Reply: “Wala po.” Me: “Mga stuffed toys po?” Reply: “Wala din po.” Me: “Mga alagang hayop po?” Reply: “Wala po pero yung kapitbahay po namin...” Me: “May alagang hayop po yung kapitbahay?” Reply (said with so much emotion): “Hindi, doc.  Hayop lang talaga yung kapitbahay namin umasta!”
