Errands Gone Erroneous!

 My cute Mom told me that she "simply" wanted to go to SM. Translated, it meant passing by the following: (1) the houses of her amigas to give some mangoes away, (2) the old house to check on it, (3) the bank, (4) the other bank, (5) the drugstore for their medicines (and mine), (6) SM (finally!!! Not!) to do groceries and lastly, (7) the hospital to get a specimen cup for her urinalysis. The simple trip had turned into a 3-hour debacle. Hehe.

Petite Pedia Plots 108 While at a stop sign, I looked down and opened a pack of biscuits. The policeman saw me and probably thought I was texting. So, when I looked up, I saw him approach my car and tell me, "Mam, bawal mag text!" On my right hand was a piece of cracker and majority of it was already in my mouth. Obviously I wasn't texting and so since napahiya na siya, sabi na lang niya, "Mam, kaya tayo tumataba niyan eh." and let me go. Buti na lang di ko naisipang sagasaan si Kuya. Hmmmp.

Guessing Game

Daughter Duties 26 Photo from www.leadingtolearning.com During dinner last night, Mom was telling me about this TV soap actress that Mom and Dad both like. Both of my parents have been racking their brains for about a wk (?!)   and they haven't come up with her name yet. So, I try to help them out.  Me: Is she young or old?  D and M: Middle-age! Me: Is she someone I have watched? D and M:  "Yes yes!"  Me: Award-winning?  D and M:"Yes! Yes! She always plays the Mom in soap oper as!" Me: Hmmm, Jaclyn Jose?  D and M: "Nooooo!" It took me about an hour and going on the internet and showing them pictures to find out who she was.  It was Cherry Pie Pecache. After that, Mom again said,"I don't like this certain TV host/actress". And she proudly tells me that the host's name is "Austin!" Mom, I don't know anyone called "Austin" on local TV!!! And so, we go through the whole guessing game again.
