My Mom and Dad are both frugal and their prices are stuck in the early 2000s.  It also happens that both my sister and I never tell them the price because they don’t enjoy it as much when they think it’s too expensive.

Overheard my Mom on the phone talking to my sister about the latest hotel buffet.
Mom: “Kung hindi lang sana unhealthy na kumain sa buffet, pwede sana halos araw-araw.  Imagine PhP700 lang each tapos may 20% senior discount pa kami! Lalong mura. Imagine, mas mahal pa yung latest Japanese buffet eh kami pa yung nagluto!”
