Errands Gone Erroneous!

Image
Daughter Duties 12 My cute Mom told me that she "simply" wanted to go to SM. Translated, it meant passing by the following: (1) the houses of her amigas to give some mangoes away, (2) the old house to check on it, (3) the bank, (4) the other bank, (5) the drugstore for their medicines (and mine), (6) SM (finally!!! Not!) to do groceries and lastly, (7) the hospital to get a specimen cup for her urinalysis. The simple trip had turned into a 3-hour debacle. Hehe.

Brave Girl

Petite Pedia Plots 60 After vaccinating an extremely irate 3 yr old, another 3 yr old patient of mine entered my clinic and told me that "brave girls are good." She then proceeded to calmly get her shot. No tears for this brave girl!!!

I am not Due!

Petite Pedia Plots 59 A 4-yr old patient hasn't been able to visit the clinic in a long while. So I told the mom, "He is due (for booster shots anytime)". Upon hearing this, little boy exclaims, "I'm not due... My name is Darrel, not due!"

Type of Mistake Everyone Likes to Hear

Image
Petite Pedia Plots 57 This really made my day. While checking up on her newborn baby , this 29-yr old mom said she was very comfortable talking to me. I asked her why. She answered that we were on the same wavelength since we were probably the same age. When I told her my real age, she couldn't believe it. (And no, I'm  not gonna tell you what it is!)

Healthy Doctor, Healthy Baby

Image
Petite Pedia Plots 56 It's my first time to see the parents prior to the birth of their baby. Upon seeing me, Dad says, "Dra, when the baby comes out, I hope she'll be as healthy as you."

Duped

About 2 weeks ago, I was approached by an old lady asking for help. She claimed it was her bday and that she had no money. Feeling like a good samaritan, I gave her some. A few days ago, I was approached by the same lady. It was again her bday and she had no money. I couldn't help myself and exclaimed, "Lola, every week nag bbday ka!!! Dadaigin mo pa ang bampira sa tanda nyan." She left hurrriedly.
